As a life-long cruiser, Capt. Pat Rains writes the yacht cruising columns for SEA Magazine and The Log Newspapers on the West Coast, and she's a contributor to Cruising World, Latitude 38, PassageMaker and other US nautical publications. She gives cruising seminars on both coasts, at boat shows and webinars via SSCA, and with her husband, cruises Mexico and CentAm to keep the nautical guidebooks updated.
