It doesn't matter where you are at in your journey of faith this series will help you develop a growing relationship with Jesus. I encourage those who are checking out Christianity to those who have been Jesus followers for years to check it out.
I bought 2 for my daughter and myself. Andy is a great speaker and has the audience captivated with his events from the bible to today 's lingo and examples. We are doing the video and book and unless there's more than 2 of you don't use the group discussion,, our opinion, we've looked at both. My daughter is married to a pastor and she teaches the children during service. She's doing this for me, I am the doubter, like Thomas:, and need to Start Over .
Our Sunday School class has been doing this study and it has really made me think. It's geared towards someone just beginning their journey of Christianity or for someone who wants to re-boot his or her faith. Because of this, it goes through some of the basic tenets of belief, but trust me, you'll think a little differently! I definitely recommend any of Andy Stanley's studies, and this is no different. Just make sure you get the DVD as well for the full effect.
I just love Andy's Starting Point Guide...Excellent source of accurate & detailed information to keep your feet on the path towards becoming a better Christian and comprehension of the truth....
This book is our study book. I can't say too much but it has caught my eye. It is a very different approach than the blible study. This book helps you to think about what was you staring point in christianity and how did it come about. the dvd mke the book cime alive and it also help th seer to understand it better.
Excellent group guide that should be used with the videos to get the most out of it. That being said, Andy Stanley is funny and this was a great book to read with a group.
Andy is always good. He keeps his lessons moving on and he is always interesting. A lot of people don't know the Bible, and don't care if they know it or not. Because the Bible says it does not impress some. He takes that point of view and explores how we come to know Jesus and how to get personal in our experience with Him.
AWESOME bible study. Its really helped me put my thoughts and feelings to paper.
